It's amazing!

I'm sat here looking at my computer knowing I have a 2000 word essay to write and I've been distracted by almost everything. I've been tempted to do the washing up, fill the washing machine, even vacuuming the house.

The cats appear and I immediately think they have some pressing need to which I must attend.

I fiddle about with the web site which is certainly not a pressing need.

And finally I set up a weblog so I can waste even more time doing something that's not urgent, needed or required.

And it's not even as if I'm afraid of starting the essay or averse to the subject. I've a pretty good idea what I wish to write so it makes absolutely no sense to avoid it.

The 1917 revolution awaits me and I must no longer dither.
